Accomplishments:

In 2001 I saved more than $98,000 by reducing the expenditures.

In 2002 Tax Increase on Municipal portion only which we have control over was $1.34 per home for average assessed value of $146,000.

In 2003 Tax Increase on Municipal portion only which we have control over was only $53.00 per home for average assessed value of $146,000.

Although our sources of income are limited compared to all the surrounding towns but

·        Our Municipal tax increase portion is the lowest in all the neighboring municipalities.

·        Our Municipal Taxes portion is the lowest within our municipality.

In order to stabilize our taxes as a first step to reduce it:

·        We have to reduce our expenditures.

·         We have to find new sources of income.

New Sources of Income Created:

·        Cell Tower will generate $50,000 to $70,000 annually;

·        As a Chief Negotiator for Tilcon Quarry allegation against Prospect Park we received a lump sum of $525,000 and $75,000 annually.

*I want to extend my sincere thanks to every member of the “ Golden Team” which is comprised of our well-experienced litigation attorney, Mr. Richard Cushing, our well-skilled Engineer, Mr. Stan Puszcz, and of course our backbone, Mayor William Kubofcik and myself. This Team is really the “Golden Team”, everyone did his utmost to meet and exceed the challenge. It was a big success and “WIN” for all residents, Mayor, Council and the employees of Prospect Park
