$250,000 annually, solving our overnight parking issue, create new employment opportunities and recreation center all year
around for our kids and seniors.
Reduce Our Expenditures:
· Extend the Police vehicles lifespan from 3 years to 5 years saving
$25,000 annually.
· Inter-Local agreement with Haledon to purchase gasoline from them
saving $4,000 annually.
· Eliminated duplicate insurance prescription plan saving $18,000
annually.
· Replaced one copy machine with three copiers and two fax machines
and still saved $2,000 annually.
· Changed fixtures and light bulbs in Borough Hall through a promotion
with PSE&G which was a cost saving of $7400.00; plus saving 40% on our energy bill.
· Switched banks in 2001 and earned $30,000 in extra interest.
· Saved over $12,000 with free repairs to all our Police vehicles.
· Obtained a Motorcycle at no charge to the Borough.
· Replaced our obsolete telephone system with a state of the art telephone
system and saved the Borough $2,000.
· Replaced our obsolete computer system and saved $4,000.
· Applied for Extraordinary Aid Fund and received $100,000.
