Automated Call Center:

It is software to dial and inform the entire town of any new information or updated information.  It can also be used for an emergency for the town, or results of a special meeting, it can dial certain streets of our town, which makes it very useful for street repair or construction.

The “Golden Frame”:

In following the Egyptian Custom, I bought the 4’x9’ golden frame as a gift to the Borough of Prospect Park.  The original intention was to mount photographs of the present and past Mayors who served over the past one hundred years with the Golden Frame; this would have been in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary Celebration in the year 2001.

After the 911 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, and on America, the significance of the golden frame became apparent.  Following the eventual total destruction of the Twin Towers, New York City authorities installed two (2) flood lights aimed skywards forming two (2) separate beams of light symbolizing the absence of the Twin Towers.

Immigrant Workers Freedom Ride:

As one of the first Arab-Americans in the NY Metro area to win elective office, I was the Chairperson of a national program in Prospect Park to participate in the “Immigrant Workers Freedom Bus Ride” in late September in NYC for a rally of many tens of thousands of union members and immigrants in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens, NY.  This was in connection with the AFL-CIO, NYC Central Labor Council, Major International Unions, National Immigrant and Civil Rights Groups, Religious Institutions, Student and community organizations, prominent Elected Officials, and others.
