Valley National Bank

Through many negotiations and with the help of our CFO/Treasurer, we were able to switch our bank again to gain additional interest on all our monies by going with Valley National Bank. There is no charge to the Borough for checks, deposit slips and endorsement stamp.  The following is just a few of the things that Valley has agreed to:

·        Armored Car Service for our daily deposits – No Cost to Borough

·        ATM Machine in Borough Hall – No Cost for installation or maintenance.

·        Connect Plus – On Line Banking for Borough Business

·        Depository Drop Box – This will enable residents to drop off payments after hours.

·        Employee Banking Services – No Cost to Borough of Prospect Park

Individual Mailboxes:

In the past no one had an individual box which meant that any mail would have been left in the receptionist area just lying around for anyone’s eyes to see, therefore I created individualized mailbox where by each council member and Mayor have their own personal key which means they can get into only their own mailbox.

Heat and Motion Detectors to Save Energy

Lights would have normally been left on in the evenings and on weekends causing big bills, now with the detectors installed they automatically shut down which creates a large savings to the Borough.  The entire installation only cost $60.00 to save energy.
